kk gave an opening prayer.

Gary Loertscher indicated that the planning process has led to a plan that makes sense to meet the future needs of St. Mary/St. James. A decision has to be made to build the entire project and borrow money or to build in phases. Building in phases will involve more cost over time. Building it all now is unaffordable unless considerably more revenue is generated. Russ Cichy endorsed the idea that it is time to build the entire project. Jim Fahey and Dan Edge stressed the need to develop a proposed operating budget for the project. After discussion, it was felt the committee could not move on with the process until a proposed budget was in place.

The meeting was adjourned so that the Finance Committee could meet immediately to work on the budget. Jerry Rabas provided an estimate of the operating costs of the new facility. Mike Warmuth provided information on amortization. Joe Donlin and kk provided information on the history of giving. Joe Stadelman provided the budge from OLA in Beloit as a model to work from.

Martha Kniffin met with a group to discuss fundraising strategies.

The next meeting of the planning Advisory Committee will be at 7:00 p.m. on Monday, March 28, 2005.
