Planning Advisory Committee

Minutes of March 6, 2005

 

 

The meeting was called to order by Ken Klink at 7:00 p.m. Attending were: Gary Ziegler, Tim Blair, Dan Edge, Sheldon Hollis, Joan Hollis, Russell Cichy, Pauline Fahey, Barb Wachter, Ruth O’Connor John Buscemi, MaraLee Gabler, Ken Klink, Dave Beck-Engel, Janet Hardyman, Mike Warmuth, Jerry Jansen, Doug Waelti, Kay Parish, Tim Stadelman, Jerry Rabas, Jim Kniffin, Carla Wolf, Joe Stadelman.

 

Joe Stadelman and Dave Beck-Engle presented an update of changes in the plan. A preliminary budget estimate showing a “phase in” plan with everything done, but with the parish hall first built as a shell and then later finished off. The estimate is $5.8 million including estimated cost of finishing the parish hall.

 

A project schedule was presented.

 

Carla Wolf gave an updated report on fundraising. It shows $2.544 million in total pledges, land, and prior deposits. Value of land and cash received is $1.248 million.

 

Minutes of the January 31, 2005 meeting and the September 27, 2004 meeting were presented.

 

Further discussion took place on possible changes in the plan including moving the large stained glass window from St. Mary’s.

 

Two meetings were scheduled for 7:00 p.m. One on March 21, 2005 and one on April 11, 2005. Final recommendations for building will be made at those meetings.
